An intrepid Client of ours purchased this extensive Grade II Listed Building which had been used as a Youth Hostel for the last 60 years. The earliest parts of the building date back to the C16th with additional early C20th extensions. The building had been carved up into dormitories and multiple bathrooms for the Youth Hostel accommodation, with little or no regard to the special characteristics of the building, and was in need of extensive refurbishment and remodeling. We were able to help the Client negotiate the many Listed Building, Change of Use and Planning Applications required to create two family homes and two flats.
